OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM -- An Air Force munitions specialist from the 28th Air Expeditionary Wing changes the configuration of a B-52H Stratofortress external bomb rack from Joint Direct Attack Munitions to conventional munitions at an operating location in support of Operation Enduring Freedom on Nov. 28. In the first 52 days of Operation Enduring Freedom, the Air Force flew more than 4,600 sorties, almost half of all OEF missions. B-1B Lancer

OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM -- Air Force crew chiefs from the 28th Air Expeditionary Wing service a B-1B Lancer engine. The B-1B holds several world records for speed, payload and distance. The National Aeronautic Association recognized the B-1B for completing one of the 10 most memorable record flights for 1994. Post flight inspection

OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM -- An Air Force crew chief from the 28th Air Expeditionary Wing conducts a post flight inspection on a B-1B Lancer in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. The first production B-1B flew in October 1984, and the first aircraft was delivered to Dyess Air Force Base, Texas, in June 1985, with initial operational capability on Oct. 1, 1986.
